HOT DAM........Guns for Gold!!!
 


I found a dealer that will trade guns for Gold.!!!

Its Sparta Guns 336 372 4867 I spoke with the owner personally Mr Huffs(?) He said he will ONLY DEAL IN GOLD (Rands , Eagles etc) Has no interest in silver at all.

I was estsatic that he didnt blow off the idea....... So if anybody trades with him make sure and tell him about the Forum so he knows when any of us call WE MEAN BUSINESS.

This will be awesome if someone makes a deal.

Have at it guys and gals ...........and remember YOU ARE REPRESENTING ALL US. So Be on your best behavior and manners.

I thought he was just going to blow off the whole Idea and dimiss me as a kook but before I asked him about trading I remined him that

a) I just made a second purchase and told him how happy I was with the level of service.

b) I also said I blog for a very big online community and put my personal stamp on the experience with the store.


I told him he can make a substantial windfall in REAL MONEY. I think he got the idea pretty quick. :ok:

I should have made mention in the PM's but I forgot. Ask him how much gold he wants for various things. Does he want to do a 1:1 gold/frn trade. Like a 830$ gun would be an ounce of gold, or would he be willing to give a 'discount' for such a great asset?

if i can get 1000$ worth of firearms/ammo for an ounce of gold, I'd be willing to give him a whole heck of alot of business!

I would assume he will be quite rigid and conduct the deal at arms legenth on the first go round....... no discount whatsoever.(may even charge a premium).

but after the first transaction goes smoothly I am sure he will be open to a silght discount or be willing throw in some extra goodies.

Now there is a smart man. Taking money instead of currency for guns!

As for buying I would only use my gold if I were out of paper.

But I like what I hear with this guy & hope more adopt it.
That would be sending a big message! When folks see more merchants accept gold & silver for items it would be a very strong statement indeed.

Reminds me of a gas station in Oregon earlier this year where the guy was taking one silver quarter per gallon as payment.

You know this guy is a first but not a last.
In the end folks like him may accept/demand only PM's
knowing that in the end it has value & the paper may not.

Exactly. I'd be getting rid of the worthless FRNs first. And you're right - it's nice to see someone come on board trading value for value.

And the good thing is, he could put on paper that he "sold" the gun for say, $50 legal tender, and only have to charge tax on that $50, when in fact it is an $800 value. Helps with both sides!

I actually did this at a local gun show once. Traded a pre 1933 $10 gold piece (about a half oz.) for a WWI era colt .32. The paperwork listed the gun sold for $10! By far the most memorable and fun transaction I've ever been involved with!:RockOn:
